A Mindset and Motivation Intensive for VAs

Do The Work! is an event just for virtual assistants -- like you! -- to help you grow your business.

In this weekend intensive retreat, you'll have the time, space, and support to really dive into your own business so you can remove the mindset blocks that prevent you from scaling to reach your goals.

Plus, you'll also receive guidance and coaching from our expert speakers to give you the tools necessary to reach the next level in your business.

I know from my own experience of working as a virtual assistant for years that it can be all too easy to put our own businesses on the back burner while we serve our clients and help them grow. But in order to truly be successful, we have to prioritize our own businesses too.

That's why my speakers and I will be on-site throughout the whole event with informative sessions and motivating presentations to help you put the focus on YOU and your business so you can literally "do the work" to make the most of this new year and the new decade.

You'll walk away energized, refreshed, and motivated to keep doing the work day in and day out to make your dreams come true.

My Story

Kayla drinking coffee

I’m Kayla Sloan, and I’m a business coach for virtual assistants and the founder of $10K VA, my flagship program where I teach virtual assistants how to start and scale their own businesses to earn as much as $10,000 per month!

For years, I was the go-to virtual assistant for the online personal finance community, where I consistently made at least $10,000 a month providing VA services to clients.

But getting to $10K per month was no easy feat.

For years I worked a TON of hours.

I worked nights, weekends, and holidays. I gave up time with friends and family to grow my business.

And it felt like my business was taking over my life.

That's when I thought to myself, "There has to be an easier way to earn more without working this many hours!"

After all, that’s why we all got started working as VAs in the first place, right? We wanted to create more time and flexibility in our work lives, while still earning a high salary.

But somehow all of those desires got lost in the shuffle of clients, projects, and ever-looming deadlines...

Let us help you get that energy and excitement back in the day-to-day of your business.

Our Do The Work! event will be more than just talk...

And you won’t walk away with a notebook full of ideas for “someday”.

This event is different.

We are keeping the event small and intimate to give you a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life so you can “do the work” and make progress on all of those grand ideas of yours (and some of ours too!).

Easy! Nothing beats the plains states in the winter. Nothing!

All kidding aside, Kansas City is a gem.

I decided to host my first event in Kansas City, MO for two reasons:

  1. It’s just about as centrally located as you can get in the US. Kansas City is smack dab in the middle and can be reached easily from just about anywhere. I didn’t want to do something on the west coast or east coast and make it harder for people who may have to fly in from various locations around the US.

  2. It’s affordable! Although KC is growing, it’s no San Diego, Miami, or New York City. Accommodations and discretionary spending is much lower in the Midwest. I didn't want this event to be out of reach for attendees due to finances.

Why Kansas city do the work

The Do the Work event will be hosted at the Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City Airport.
7901 NW Tiffany Springs Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri

I choose this specific hotel for a few reasons:

  1. I wanted something that was easy to access from the airport, that way my attendees who are flying in don’t have to worry about traveling very much further to get to the event.
  2. I wanted to offer a free shuttle service to the hotel from the airport so help you save time and money.
  3. Cozy and plush. There is so much space but the hotel also feels warm and inviting. I wanted to offer my attendees something that was affordable but not cheap, and this hotel doesn’t disappoint.
  4. It has an indoor pool and jacuzzi! While we will be busy during the day with work and speakers, the nights are all yours to relax and unwind. I was happy to find a hotel that offered inside swimming and relaxing accommodations.
